The LEARN Center is dedicated to teaching students the skills required to safely operate a variety of heavy equipment construction machines. At the present time, these include skid-steers, backhoes, excavators, front-end loaders, and bulldozers. The shop is used for instruction pertinent to the maintenance of the machines as well as for instruction pertaining to the components of the machines, checking and filling of fluids, greasing of the pivot points and trouble shooting. There is approximately 20 pieces of heavy equipment, construction materials and construction equipment (signage, slings, wire rope, etc.). The practical classes are “hands-on” tailored to the particular machine and student.
