The studio provides adults, teens and children with a quality experience creating their own ceramic. Whether participants are coming to relieve the stress of the day, meet friends or pursue their passion for pottery, the members are the focus for the teachers who want to ensure that everyone has a wonderful time and is happy with what they have created. Children 7 years and older are invited to join their Kids Clay Groups where they can express their creativity and individuality in a positively constructive environment that teaches them pottery basics.

Island Pottery & Studio is a Mineola-based art-focused business that celebrates pottery, one of the world’s oldest art forms. Island Pottery and Studio provides adults, teens, and children with a quality experience at the pottery studio where a lump of clay is turned into a personal ceramic statement. Working with clay is a great way to relieve stress, spend time with friends, and get in touch with your artistic side. Children ages 7 and older can join the Kids Clay Groups where they will be encouraged to explore their creativity and individuality in a positive, constructive environment while learning pottery basics. Meanwhile, children ages 11 and older can learn how to throw clay on the wheel. Every class is taught by skilled and creative instructors who are passionate about the medium. Classes typically run four to eight weeks.
