Stony Brook Midwives is a full-scope midwifery practice, the largest in the area. They provide primary, sexual, and reproductive care to people from all communities; from the teenage years through menopause and beyond. Stony Brook Midwives offer preconception care and counseling, comprehensive prenatal care, full midwifery care during labor and birth, trial of labor after cesarian delivery, complete postpartum care, and lactation support (including a weekly breastfeeding support group). Additionally, patients can receive full-scope gynecologic care including annual exams, pap smears, breast exams, mammogram referrals, STI screening, as well as family planning and contraception services.
