(631) 694-6868 – adventureland.us
One of the classic features of amusement parks has long been a haunted house, whether it’s a ride or one that you walk through in the dark. The current version of a haunted house at family amusement park Adventureland is Mystery Mansion, a ride designed for kids that is both spooky and fun. That it’s been selected by Long Islanders as the best haunted house on the Island is a sign that many folks may have become tired of the very scary haunted mansions that have proliferated in recent decades. Or it could be a sign that parents who visited the amusement park as kids are now bringing their own children and want them to have some spooky fun but not be frightened out of their minds. Kids are, however, bound to find Mystery Mansion a bit scary, whether it gives them nightmares or not.

The Spooky Walk is a fundraiser held each October to benefit Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck—a special needs camp. For nearly three decades, the Spooky Walk has become a staple in the community, challenging even the bravest adults to maintain their wits. Not only do 100-percent of the proceeds go toward supporting the special needs camp, but members of the community are invited to volunteer by helping build and run exhibits.
