Cline has achieved as college president of Long Island University. Drawing national attention among Dr. Cline’s initiatives that increased enrollment and maintained the just 2 percent tuition hikes are the ROC National School of Music, Sports and Entertainment led by musical artists, and The Roosevelt School for civic education and global leadership chaired by Theodore Roosevelt’s great-grandson Tweed Roosevelt. Her reach in sports has elevated LIU athletics to Division 1. Her work brought increases in Hope Scholarships for students that need significant financial aid, and she led the charge to open a School of Arts and Communication at LIU Brooklyn. A film school is also in the purview of Cline’s many accomplishments as the college president.

Christine M. Riordan, Ph.D., made history at Adelphi University in New York by becoming the first woman to serve as president in 2015. Since her appointment, Dr. Riordan led a comprehensive analysis of the University to gain a thorough understanding of the institution’s strengths and opportunity, which in turn allowed her to implement a new plan to enhance the educational experience at Adelphi University, as well as deepen the commitment to student success and transform the university as a whole.
