Jack Geffken, D.O., began his career in internal medicine as a volunteer emergency medical technician. He continued to advance in the medical field because he enjoyed helping people and making a difference. Dr. Geffken still rides as a volunteer with a fire department ambulance and is actively involved with emergency medical services (EMS). He chose internal medicine because it’s all encompassing and enables him to create lasting relationships with his patients. Dr. Geffken believes that prevention is the key to longevity and health. He treats both adolescents and adults with a wide variety of conditions, ranging from simple illnesses to complicated multisystem issues. Dr. Geffken was a recipient of the Suffolk County EMS Physician of Excellence Award, and he was voted Best General Practitioner for 2016 and 2018 in the Best of Long Island contest. He is also a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
